Few Last Days In France, Bretagne and Berlin

My few last days in France I spent travelling to Rennes, the capital city of Bretagne (Brittany) region, north-west of France. It was very interesting travelling experience for me, because I used ‘covoiturage‘ (car-pooling) to get there and stayed at Enora’s place during my stay there, using Couch-Surfing. It was very nice because I was travelling alone and that way I could meet new people and travel more economically. As soon as... Read More

Weekend in Lyon

I had a very cool weekend with Marie-Aimée in Lyon. It’s a beautiful city in the Rhône-Alpes region in France. It has its own cuisine identity which is very different than the Parisian style. It’s all about good home cooking and pork products. I was very excited about visiting this area, especially after learning about it in our Menu Regional Rhône-Alpes at school. Bernard Du 15

We ended up sitting in Bernard du 15. They have a ‘menu du jour’ for 18 euro and another menu for 33 euro. We took one of each.   Choosing... Read More

Roger La Grenouille

Something I really want to do throughout my stay here in Paris is restaurant exploration. We’re supposed to have in mind a list of places for the upcoming 6 month stage (internship) in a restaurant. My budget cannot support a tour through all the Michelin starred restaurants in town but can give me a better knowledge of the traditional and modern French cuisine and maybe discover some jewels and surprises. My planning was to go for lunch... Read More
