Some pics of food at home..
This is the chicken soup, before cooking:
We used a whole chicken and a turkey neck. We wanted to use chicken back bones but there weren’t any in the supermarket. Putting all this poultry inside didn’t leave much space for veggies. We did put the leaves bouquet with leak, celery leaves and bay leaf. All tied together with a sewing string for a fast pull out.
After cooking…
Clear broth with a piece of turkey neck
Or with a chicken breast. Came out perfectly succulent and full of flavors.
For a Saturday breakfast we had classic Bacon & eggs.
For Saturday lunch, Dad decided to cook the missing Adobo from his birthday event (see previous post). He found a “hundred year old” package of instant Adobo in the pantry (don’t ask). It’s a classical Philippine dish and it was about time we tried to make it!

The finished presentation with cucumber and red onions, we also added some grounded nuts on top (not in the picture)
For dessert some of Jean’s poppy-seeds cake with macadamia nuts Haagen Dazs ice-cream and baked green apple
