After contemplating on which language program to start, I decided to go for the Pimsleur audio lessons for now. It’s not perfect but I can listen while driving / waiting / walking / taking the bus, and that makes it great for the meantime (while I’m still working and can’t spend a lot of time learning French). The only downside I found was the lack of written material which in French is more important than in other languages. As you probably know the written and spoken are sometimes hard to relate to each other!
So.. I searched online for the lessons transcripts. I thought it would be easy but couldn’t find anything until the very kind Raquel agreed to share his own work with me! Thanks! Now it’s going faster and better.
One of the first and very important things I learned to say was “donnez-moi l’argent” (give me the money), and another was “Je veux manger quelque chose” (I want to eat something), and of course: “Est-ce que vous voudriez boire quelque chose chez moi?” (would you like to drink something at my place?). I do feel better prepared for my Paris experience 🙂
