Wednesday was my last day at Tunewiki’s office and we all went out for a celebration lunch. We reserved a place for the whole company (3 people) at Shpezale – Hod hasharon. It’s a new place that sounded pretty good.
We arrived early, because Gilad was too hungry to wait any longer, and the place was still empty. It’s modestly decorated but with a good vibe and the hostess and waitress were welcoming and thankful we arrived. The service was very good and thoughtful, I wander if it’s the same situation if you come on a full evening service?
The business lunch deal was choosing one of 4 first courses in the price of the main. For the first course I ordered the Liver Pâté with dates confiture and mix nuts bread. The bread was excellent, felt almost like a cake, but was served cold for some reason. The pâté was very good, pretty and pink in the middle. The confiture had some caramelized onions in it and dates and went well with the smoothness of the liver. Good one overall.

For the main course I took the Gray mullet fish-balls with coriander garlic and onion in Haraime sauce
(68 nis). It came inside a clay pot, nice presentation.
With steamed rice on a clay plate.
The fish-balls were very good, the sauce could have been spicier. The plate was small and not so convenient to eat out of but it’s a small problem.
So much coriander in these fish-ball. That’s a good thing
We were too full to order dessert, I know it’s unlike me but in the middle of the day I don’t like the feeling of being too bloated.  I didn’t try many things in Shpezale but what I did was well made and I hope the rest of the menu is also successful.
Later that day I went to Safta Jean and she made a beautiful green Shakshuka with spinach and bechamel sauce. We ate it with mini brown bun, salad and smoked salmon. It was then followed by a nice fruit platter I could only eat a bit out off.

Thank you and goodbye Tunewiki!!!
