Spontaneously picking a place to sit for a light lunch on the nice pedestrian street rue Montorgueil we decided to sit at Casa De Campo for a drink and some tapas. It was a great choice and a positive surprise.
We imagined the Tapas to be smaller portions than what we received but even though we were not that hungry we finished it all! With the side bread basket as well and then even asked for a coffee and dessert.
In Paris it’s not that easy to just sit somewhere random to eat without recommendation and be really satisfied, especially when you’re a culinary student. People may think it’s that easy because every corner you find a Brasserie and every two steps you find another restaurant but it doesn’t mean you can find anything more exiting than the usual steak tartar, moules and frites and andouillette (if you have guts to try that one!). This is why I was very happy with this casual Spanish tapas bar.
I understand that while Irit was speaking Spanish with the very welcoming waiter – he was actually trying to hit on you…. 😉
