הגענו באחת בלילה, כל המקומות האחרים היו סגורים. האווירה היתה הרבה יותר טובה מהמזנון באבן גבירול שאני שונאת אפילו לעבור ליד מרוב רעש נוראי ופשוט אווירה מגעילה. פה האווירה היתה סבבה. בזמן שחיכינו נשנשנו חתיכות פיתה עם הרטבים שיש בצד. לדעתי – אפשר לסגור עם זה ארוחה שלמה. הפיתה עצמה היתה מעולה! לקחתי סטייק אנ אגס (37 ש”ח) והיה טעים, לא אהבתי את הבצל ירוק בשלמותו בפנים (מה אני אמורה לעשות עם זה) והעובדה שאחרי ביס אחד הכל נזל עלי וטפטף על הבגדים. מה שעשה את זה מיוחד מבד”כ היתה הפיתה הטעימה ביותר. החבר לקח “דק דק” (44 ש”ח) שהיה נחמד מרענן ומלא עשבים. מבחינת התמחור נראה לי משתלם מאוד לפיתות הלא צמחוניות וממש לא משתלם לכל מה שליד כמו חתיכת כרובית ב-32 ש”ח, בטטה מסכנה ב-16 ש”ח וכנ”ל לגבי התפ”א ב-16 ש”ח, יקר למרות שהקפידו לדרוס אותו היטב. באשר לגלידה בתוך הפיתה שכה הייתי כמיהה לנסות – באותה השעה לא היה יותר, והייתי הרוסה מאכזבה. נצטרך לחזור למזנון בקרוב. במקום זה הלכנו לאכול גלידה בגלידריה ממש ליד, היה נחמד, והיו גם גלידות טבעוניות שזה בעצם דרך אחרת להגיד סורבה.

We arrived at 01:00 AM, when all the other places were already closed for snacks. The atmosphere was much better than the one I remember in the Miznon Ibn Gabirol branch – I dislike even passing by there, with the most terrible noise and atmosphere just disgusting. Here the atmosphere was terrific. While we were waiting (a bit more than expected) we nibbled on pieces of pita with sauces on the salad buffet inside. I think that one can end up with a complete satisfying meal from just that. The pita itself was excellent! I took the Steak n’ Eggs ( 37 ILS) which was delicious. What I did not like was the whole green onion inside (what am I supposed to do with it?) and the fact that after one bite everything was running and dripping all over. What made it special was the pita bread that tasted fresh and special even in this hour of the night. The boyfriend took a “Dak-Dak” (44 ILS) was a nice refreshing meat pita with many chopped herbs. In terms of pricing it seems very reasonable for the non-veg pitas but it really does not pay-off for everything else like a piece of cauliflower in 32 ILS, a poor sweet potato in 16 ILS and the same goes for potatoes priced at 16 ILS – expensive despite it was carefully crushed and trodden. As for the ice-cream pita I was longing to try – there wasn’t any at that hour and I was a bit devastated. We’ll have to come back for it. Instead we went for the Ice-cream joint just neighboring and it was nice and they also had some Vegan ice cream which is just another way to say sorbet.
